South Africa's karateka have a rare opportunity this November to train directly under two of the art's most respected voices from Australia's JKA-SKC lineage. Shihan Keith Geyer, 8th Dan, is the National Chief Instructor of JKA-SKC Australasia and one of a select group of instructors appointed to the JKA's Shihankai (Masters Association) in Tokyo — a career built on decades of direct study under legends of Shotokan karate including Nakayama, Kanazawa, Asai and Abe Sensei. Joining him is his daughter, Sensei Jess Burns, 6th Dan, carrying that same lineage and teaching philosophy forward into the next generation. Over two mornings — Tuesday 17 and Wednesday 18 November — at the Honbu Dojo, Wanderers, karateka of all levels can train back-to-back sessions with both instructors for R400 per class, with places strictly limited to 60 per session. This is a genuine chance to absorb decades of authentic JKA instruction passed down through one family — don't miss it.
